Home Building on Bare/Vacant Land in Lantzville,BC

The Buck Robertson Contracting team built this home from the ground up, set on 2.47 acres of picturesque land with ample privacy, this home offers 3476 sqft of living including a large inlaw suite above the garage seen in the photo below.  The property backs onto crown land, with walking trails at your doorstep. This was  Buck Robertson Contracting first Custom Home Build in Lantzville,BC. We learned a lot we had to get a well installed, septic field and needed to deal with a lot of rock. On this project it was tricky to get access with deliveries of any kind it had a double switch back to gain access to this site.

Mixed exterior siding products

The exterior of this house was finished with vinyl siding, cedar shakes in the gables, and wooden trim. The entranceway had rough cut cedar posts and railing with wooden soffit. The Deck was finished with slate tile on the upper section and the lower section in 5/4 cedar decking. The front door was a fiberglass wood grain door and was stained.

Slate Deck with wood Cedar handrails as well as pine wood soffit.Some of the features which were incorporated on this house was the hanging swing on the front deck, as well as a firepit.

Custom Swing bed- Great place to stretch out and take in the sounds of nature or cuddle up.

First floor

The Interior of the house was finished with earth tones and more natural materials such as slate. In the kitchen, the entryway floors were finished with slate tile with the remaining floors done with laminate flooring.

Kitchen

The Custom Kitchen had an island with an eating bar allowing for a great place to entertain. The island allowed for a great place to place snack or prep food when having friends or family over.The window at the sink allowed for drifting off and dreaming while looking out into the wilderness.

Living Room

Foyer- Fiberglass stained door with two sidelights and a transom window. 17′ ceilings making for quite an entrance.
